Welcome to Mended Hearts - Chapter #248
Our organization was founded to offer support to both current and former cardiac patients, their families, and friends. We offer this support in several forms; through in hospital visits with current patients, monthly meetings meant to educate and inform, and social events. Mended Hearts, Inc. (http://www.mendedhearts.org/) was chartered in 1951 to serve this purpose. Our local Chapter #248 originated in 1993, and is currently affiliated with Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.Our national organization also maintains partnerships with six different cardiac related groups:- American College of Cardiology- The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions- Adult Congenital Heart Association- American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association- Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association
